Privacy Policy

Effective date · September 24, 2026

This policy describes how Eurekable handles information in the Starlyra iOS and Android apps and on the official website. Starlyra does not require an account.

1. Observing location and information on your device

The app calculates celestial positions on your device using the selected time and observing location. With your permission, it uses location information to set the observing location. You can also choose a place manually without granting location permission.

Your selected location, settings, recent searches and places, and voice cache are stored in the app’s local storage. The app currently has no feature that collects observing locations or search history on Eurekable-operated servers. Device backups follow your operating system’s backup settings and Apple’s or Google’s policies.

2. Camera and motion sensors

In AR mode, celestial information is displayed over the camera view when permission is granted. Motion and direction sensors determine device orientation and guidance. The app does not upload camera footage to a server or save it as recorded files. Audio narration does not require microphone recording permission.

3. Audio narration

On supported devices, AI speech is synthesized locally after downloading the model. Models are delivered through app-resource channels such as Apple on iOS and Google Play on Android. System speech uses the operating system’s voice engine and is subject to that engine’s settings and provider policies. Scripts and observing locations are not sent to an external AI service for speech synthesis.

An internet connection may be needed to prepare additional models or system voices. Website audio previews are prerecorded files, and the website does not request your location.

4. Maps, celestial data and payments

Place search, maps and address lookup on iOS may use Apple Maps and location services. Search terms, map areas and coordinates may be sent to Apple to provide these features. For details, see Apple Maps privacy information.

Android maps use MapLibre and OpenFreeMap basemaps. To display a map, the requested map area, tile coordinates, and IP address are sent to the map provider. This area may reflect a place you select or your current location. Celestial position calculations and AI voice synthesis are processed on your device.

Updates to satellite orbits and small-body data request public data from CelesTrak and NASA/JPL. These services may process your IP address and request details during the connection. The app does not attach your observing location or a separate user account to these requests.

Subscription payments are processed by the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. The app checks subscription status using purchase information from the relevant store. Eurekable does not directly receive card numbers or other payment-method details.

5. Website and support email

The official website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver content and provide security and operations, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, requested URLs, access times, and browser or device communication information, including on infrastructure outside your country. Processing and retention are governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

We have not added advertising or visitor analytics scripts, account registration, contact forms, or visitor-tracking storage to the website. Contact buttons open your email app.

If you send a support email, we use your sender name and email address, and the content and attachments you provide to respond. We retain them as needed to resolve the inquiry and provide follow-up, then delete them when that purpose ends. Information subject to legal retention requirements is kept for the required period.

6. Permissions, deletion and inquiries

You can change Starlyra’s location and camera permissions in device settings. To delete local app data on iOS, delete the app rather than offloading it. On Android, you can also clear data in the app’s storage settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a store subscription.

For requests to access, correct or delete information provided by email, contact dev@eurekable.space . Information processed by Apple, Google, Cloudflare or other providers rather than Eurekable may be subject to those providers’ procedures.

7. Optional rewarded ads

If you choose to watch one, the app displays a Google AdMob rewarded ad. After completion, the object identifier and access grant and expiry times are stored on your device to unlock that object’s narration until midnight in the device’s local time zone. Plus subscribers can listen without watching ads.

Google’s advertising SDK may process and share IP addresses (which may be used to infer approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad impressions, views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. On iOS, we check both your Google consent choices and Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Personalized ads may be requested only when you consent to the relevant purposes and allow ATT. Otherwise we request non-personalized ads where eligible, and an ad may be unavailable. On Android, we request non-personalized ads. When permitted, the advertising identifier may be linked with activity on other companies’ apps and websites to personalize ads or measure their performance. We do not attach precise observing coordinates or narration scripts to ad requests.

Where required, the app presents Google UMP consent screens. To change your privacy choices when available, open Ad Privacy Settings from the app’s privacy information or ad-choice screen. Basic observing features remain available without choosing to watch ads. Advertising-identifier settings are managed in your operating system.

For Google’s data processing, retention, international processing and rights procedures, refer to the Google Privacy Policy and Google partner-app information.

8. Diagnostics and problem reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability. App version, device and operating system information, an installation identifier, crashes, Android ANRs, and errors and fixed operation labels from key features may be sent to Google. We do not add observation coordinates, searches, narration text or user-entered content to automatic error reports. You can disable automatic reporting in Settings → Report a problem.

Problem reports are emails that you review and send yourself. Your description, chosen image and displayed app and device information are sent to dev@eurekable.space. This feature works even when automatic reporting is disabled.

When the app’s information-handling practices change, we update this page and its effective date. Important changes affecting users’ rights will be communicated as required by applicable law.
